🚤 Hokey Pokey Water Taxi
The Hokey Pokey isn’t a luxury ferry; it’s the lifeblood of the peninsula. The crossing takes about 15–20 minutes. Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure.
DOWNLOAD🚤 Water Taxis
San Pedro & Caye Caulker
To ensure you pay the correct fare and avoid unnecessary fees, only book through the official operator websites listed below or walk directly into their official ticket offices. Do not buy tickets from middlemen, street hustlers, or unauthorized third-party resellers.
🚤 Guatemala Transit
Livingston & Puerto Barrios
There is no direct boat from Placencia. Guests must bus to Punta Gorda or take the Hokey Pokey to Independence then bus, typically 2–3 hours, then take the international ferry across the border. Always account for immigration time and potential wait times at the pier.
🚤 Friday Boat to Honduras
The Friday boat is the primary connection between the peninsula and Honduras. Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure — if you show up exactly on the dot, you might just be watching the boat disappear into the horizon.
